Today, Georgetown Medical AIDS Advocacy Network hosted free, confidential HIV testing at the Student Health Center. This marks only the second time the Student Health Center has offered a free, confidential HIV testing clinic. While H*yas for Choice is proud of the progress we have made advocating for, planning, and promoting these events, Georgetown University has not done enough to prioritize student health.
Similarly situated universities offer free comprehensive STI screening, and promote rather than stigmatize student sexual and reproductive well-being. As we celebrate our successes, we must remember how much still left we have to do.
